Donald Duck and Goofy are major supporting protagonists of the Kingdom Hearts series. In the series, they join Sora in battling the Heartless following the disappearance of King Mickey.
They appear as Assist-only characters representing Kingdom Hearts. In the story mode, they join Sora on his adventure, acting as his primary Assist.
Donald and Goofy appear in the outfits they were in most of the Kingdom Hearts series.
Their first alternate outfit are their attire from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, where Donald is dressed as a Mage and Goofy is dressed as a Knight.
Their second alternate outfit puts them in their classic cartoon outfits, as they appeared at the end of Kingdom Hearts.
Their third alternate outfit puts them into their attire while in Space Paranoids.
Their fourth alternate outfit puts them in their attire while in Halloween Town.

Fire - Donald casts a fast moving fireball that tracks the opponent.
Blizzard - Donald casts a wide-spread Blizzard spell. Good against dodges.
Thunder - Donald casts a Thunder spell that appears over the head of the opponent. Allows for a follow-up from the player.
Cure - Donald instantly gives the player a boost of Bravery (30% of initial Bravery is given with each cast.) Chance for casting is higher when Brave is below initial Bravery.

Goofy leaps forward in the air, shield in front of him, as he rapidly crashes towards the ground, causing a shockwave. Goofy can catch the opponent in the air, dragging them down for the HP shockwave.
Teamwork

Goofy zooms forward, propelled by what seems to be a rocket, holding his shield in front of him. Goofy will bounce off walls on the stage as he zooms around.
Fantasia
Aerial
Donald casts a ring of magic explosions around the player. Explosions happen at mid-range, so the opponent is safe at very close range.
