Blue Mages learn their subset of magic, Blue Magic, by being hit with the magic in question by an enemy, usually a monster. They are, for the most part, decent physical fighters as well as magicians.
The Blue Mage does not appear in the story mode, so he does not have an opposing villain.
The Blue Mage's basic attire is the A2 artwork, as shown, with the Blue Saber, from A2.
The alternate outfit, "Red Alumni", is the same as the base outfit, but recolored red.
The second alternate outfit, "Masked Learner", is the FFV Blue Mage (Bartz variation with Lenna's feathered cap) with FFV's Enhancer.
The DLC outfit, "Forbidden Fiend", is the FFXI BLU with the BLU Artifact Armor Set, with the Immortal’s Scimitar.
The Blue Mage's Manikin, Iterated Student, is monochrome (black and white).

The Blue Mage is a Learner, having various Blue Magics from the Final Fantasy Multiverse, having a decent set of physical and long-ranged attacks. Some of his attacks are quite awkward to pull off, though.
