King Zangurak is one of The Last Story's primary antagonists and also the king of the Gurak race. Zangurak was a wise and powerful leader, being the first in history to unite the Gurak race as one. However, when humans became involved he quickly showed his cruelty and hatred for the human race. The other half of the 'Outsider' which had been imprisoned and damaged gave Zangurak unusual abilities that reflected his nature - Rage - giving him increased power, berserker defence and the ability to control others anger.
Zangurak does not appear in the Dissidean Wars' story, but does have an opposing hero - Zael.
Zangurak’s basic attire is based off of his in-game appearance, equipped in dark bronze and with his signature Axe-lance and spiked shield. His Outsider Mark on his chest. In EX Mode Zangurak's Mark glows crimson and surrounds him with several rings of Light Chains.
His alternative costume 'Demon's Armour' is a palette swap which has Zangurak's armour coloured black, as in his artwork. In EX Mode his Mark and chains glow Purple.
The 3rd costume 'Outsider's Wrath', makes Zangurak appear as he does after his final battle, with his armour and shield shattered, covered with scars and with a manic expression. In EX Mode his eyes glow as well as his Outsider mark.

Zangurak is a Furious Beast, who uses HP attacks that are unique in that they change in power depending on his opponent's Bravery, each tier having higher power and larger areas of effect, reaching second tier at 2500+ Bravery and a third tier at 5000+ Bravery. While attacks and defence are high, Zangurak is fairly slow and his small movepool makes him easy to predict.

Fires a massive arrow from the shield's tip at the opponent. If opponent's Brave is 2500+ the arrow is electrified and deals brave damage before final hit and fires a second follow-up shot when opponent's Bravery is 5000+

Slams ground with weapon, which then raises pillars of stone in front. Creates a wall of pillars that blocks attacks if opponent's Brave is 2500+ and a ring of pillars around him if 5000+
Fires of Wrath
Aerial
Covers weapon in flames before throwing it at the opponent. If opponent's Brave is 2500+ the weapon explodes on inpact or upon reaching furthest distance and homes in and creates a bigger explosion when opponent has 5000+ Brave.
Crushing Blow
Aerial
Swings weapon in large arc and follows with an unblockable smashing hit. If opponent's Brave is 2500+, Zangurak hammers them twice before the final blow and when 5000+ hits four times.

Slows time for Zangurak's opponent, requires the player to fast-tap X & O five times. If tapped correctly, he pierces his opponent with Light Chains before stabbing at the enemy dealing damage. If incorrect, Zangurak merely axe-slashes twice for damage
